The necessity of establishing and maintaining political and information contacts of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic with the outside world was conditioned by a complete disregard of the interests of the pridnestrovian people, a political confrontation with the Republic of Moldova, which ended in aggression of Moldova against Pridnestrovie.On July 1, 1992 the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic took a historic decision to establish an executive body responsible for relationships with foreign countries and international organizations – the Republican bureau of foreign relations. On March 5, 1991 the Supreme Soviet of PMSSR confirmed the structure of the Government, including the Board of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Soviet Social Republic (PMSSR).
